We are Lian (Rowangate Stud) & Kevin (Pegasus Stud) and live in Essex, England. We have around 60 rats between us not including kittens. We have two dogs a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Oliver & Paddy a Chocolate Labrador. We also have a Senegal called Pebbles. We are both members of the N.F.R.S for which Lian is a Championship & Assessor judge and currently holds the position of judge's training co-ordinator. We are also member's of L.S.C.M.R.C and Lian is a member of The Estuary Rat Club. Kevin has recently come back to breeding rats after a break and has taken back the Black Eyed white line that was originally his, and is starting on Pink Eyed White, (many thanks to Tina at Hellstorm Stud for providing the first trio). Kevin was first to qualify to register his stud name with the National Fancy Rat Society in late 1998 with a black doe bred by him winning two Best in Show under the ownership of Sue Threapleton. The name Pegasus was chosen as Kevin at the time was in the airborne forces and this is insignia for them. Lian qualified to register her stud name with the National Fancy Rat Society in 1999 with a Blue Agouti buck (Rowangate Fruit Bat) that was bred by her obtaining eight stars and becoming a Silver Variety Champion. The name Rowangate comes from the belief/myth that a mountain ash tree (rowan) planted by the gate of a house helps keep away witches and evil spirits. For
